We are working very hard on two sources of support, the Swedish Institute and the Swedish Government, to enable you to participate in the congress. We will receive notification about our applications for subsidies in mid June. The subsidies we apply for is to cover your travel expenses, meaning flight ticket and accommodation, and the congress fee at a total maximum of 1700 USD. If our applications are approved we will contact you with further instructions as soon as possible.
By Swedish standard the fee is low and we are doing our best make as
much as possible of the programme for free. Besides seeking sponsors
to cover more of the activities, we are also trying to find arrangements
for grants for third-world. We also encourage
you to look for such possibilities in your own country.
What is included in the congress fee?
The travel to Stockholm and your accommodation while being at the congress is at your own expenses. Some advices and links here. All the daytime activities are included, although some of them still has to be confirmed (see programme). Welcome dinner and the dinner after the IFEJ general assembly are included as well. All other meals will be at your own expenses. A restaurant lunch meal cost in the around 8 USD and dinner is a bit more expensive. We are working a sponsorship providing all delegates with a 7-day ticket for using the public transportation network (please check website for latest news). If we can’t arrange that sponsorship the fee for a 7-day ticket is approx. 25 USD or 2,5 USD per trip.
